there is a thing so deep

"In Him we live and move and have our being," is part of a song I used to sing but did not fully understand. I am not sure I do even now, but I do have more intel on the subject. Jesus sent the powerful Holy Spirit to lead, teach and change us. There comes a point in His work that we no longer focus on the things of the world. Our hearts only want what our Lord wants.

I came to that point. It is a place where ultimately, I prefer whatever my Lord wants for my life than I do what I would want. I let it all go in lieu of living, moving and having my being in Jesus. I did not realize how I was being changed at the time, but I see it now. It does take commitment. Holy Spirit will lead and change us to be like Jesus. That is the point. All I know is that I want more.
