have you heard about dying to self?

This is something that will change your life. In my experience, dying to self is something we are not easily willing to do. This world has many charms that wiggle in there and cause us to be concerned with what we want for our lives or simply want. "Deny yourself and come follow me," Jesus said. I don't know why we think that anything we can plan should take precedence over the great and wondrous plans Jesus has for us. He really does love us even more than we love ourselves or than our families love us. Jesus knows us better than we know ourselves, and He has planned a destiny for each of us that will fit that niche inside of us that even we have a hard time figuring out how to fill. The best way to live is to let go and trust Him.

I learned to examine myself and my past then to ask for forgiveness for anything that I could think needed to be forgiven. The interesting thing about this is that any bitterness, unforgiveness, self pity, and selfishness etc. that I found in my heart all needed to be forgiven. It is amazing how many times I thought that I was innocent when in fact sin was found.
